What mic should I use for recording a therapy session?

I am a psychotherapist and use a Sanyo TRC 960 to record a session at times. As motor noise is a problem I thought an external omnidirectional plate mic might be better and also not "look like a microphone" - for my patients' sake (they give their permission for the recordings of course). Any ideas for a cheap mic to do this job?

Reply: Crown's lowest-cost omni plate mic is the Sound Grabber II, selling for $99 list and much lower street price. You could find a dealer by using Google or Froogle. I think you'll like the big improvement in clarity and lack of motor noise that the Sound Grabber II will provide.
