I used two Crown PZM-6F mics [now PZM-6D] to record a small string band ensemble that was being broadcast on the radio live. The mics were mounted on separate 2'x 2' pieces of Lucite on music stands and centered 5-6' from the musicians. A couple of microphones added for the vocals helped fill out the sound. Vocal mics were panned to the center; PZMs were hard right and left. The resulting recording sounded very good. The PZMs produced a nice stereo image and were very easy to manage. Everyone was happy with the results!
